How to Apply
-
In the Fall preceding your child's potential enrollment you are encouraged to attend an Open House or a Classroom Observation Morning.
-
Complete and return an application form along with the non-refundable application fee of $50 to Alexandra Borders, Director of Admissions.
Download an application form for early childhood, grades 1-8, or parent-toddler.
The admission deadline for Early Childhood (Nursery, Pre-K, Kindergarten) and First Grade is 9th December 2010. We continue to accept applications on a rolling basis until all of our classes are full. If a wait pool is established, the school will consider students from the pool who contribute to balanced classrooms.
-
Once a completed application has been received you will receive a letter of acknowledgement and we will schedule your child's visit to the school. For the Grade School we will set up a meeting for parents and child with the class teacher, and for children applying for 2nd-8th grade we will also schedule a three-day class visit for your child.
Applicants for the Early Childhood Program will be invited to attend a Play Date where you will meet Early Childhood teachers and other prospective families.
-
Download a Request For Records Form and ensure that a copy of your child's current school records be sent to The Waldorf School of Philadelphia.
In addition, download, complete and return the Teacher Reference Form
-
Enrollment contracts are sent with the letter of acceptance. Families have ten days from the date of the letter to let the school know if they plan to attend.
Tuition Assistance is available for children entering their last year of Kindergarten and for children in the grades. The Waldorf School of Philadelphia uses School and Student Services (SSS) to process tuition assistance applications. To begin your tuition assistance application process visit www.sss.nais.org for more information. The deadline for completed tuition assistance applications is February 3rd 2011.
Families will be notified about their financial award by mid-March 2010. In addition to tuition assistance, The Waldorf School of Philadelphia offers different payment plans to help families manage their tuition costs.
For more information about this or the tuition assistance program please contact Alexandra Borders, Director of Admissions.
