The mission of the Development Office is to help make a quality Waldorf education accessible to every family in our area who wants it. By supporting this work, you can help keep The Waldorf School of Philadelphia affordable and boost the school's tuition assistance funds..You can make a difference. We can't do it without you. Here are some ways you can help:

Participate in the Annual Fund
Every single gift counts, whether you contribute $10 or $1,000, our goal is to achieve 100% participation.  This is an important measure of institutional commitment to outside donors.  Last year’s Annual Fund reached 98% participation with 100% participation from the Board, Staff and Faculty. The Annual Fund is usually launched in December however you can give at any time. Tuition covers only 90% of the cost it takes to educate one student; the remaining 10% comes from gifts from friends, families and extended families.

You may also double or triple your gift by arranging a matching gift through your employer. Please ask your employer if they offer this valuable employment perk.

Get involved in our Fundraising Event
Our annual Holiday Fair raises vital money for our school and is a fun way to spend time with the community.  This year, the dates for the Holiday Fair are November 20 & 21, 2009. This annual event occurs every year on the weekend before Thanksgiving. Additionally, One of our most important events, the spring fundraiser is always a fun evening out for the adults. Shop Online / Retail Partnerships
Shop at our website at many leading retailers and the school will receive a portion of your sale! Escrip will make a contribution every time you use grocery loyalty cards or debit/credit cards registered on line with Escrip. Shop Today!

Join the Development Committee
Parents are encouraged and welcome to join the Development Committee. The work of the Committee is to give rise to and nurture a philanthropic atmosphere at The Waldorf School of Philadelphia. Together the Committee manages and strategizes the school’s annual fundraising plan, oversees specific fundraising activities and brainstorms new fundraising ideas.
